General Information for Parents & Students

We know you have a million things to worry about when you or your loved one is off at college, but the living environment shouldn’t be one of them! Since 1982, we have been Edinboro’s leading provider of off-campus student housing. We give students the college experience they want and the academic environment they need to succeed – not just in school, but also in life.

If our apartments were any closer, we would be on-campus! Have a car? We offer free parking, most of the time right outside your door. If you don’t drive, there is a free campus shuttle (not that you need it), plus we are on the EMTA bus line.

With on-site professional management and maintenance, and on-call staff available 24/7, we’re always on duty to address your needs.

No moving truck needed! Nearly all our apartments are furnished at no extra cost. Plus, you don’t have to pack up for breaks, or better yet even for the summer when you renew year to year! 

We offer full size kitchens allowing you to cook your own meals. Our kitchens are fully equipped with refrigerators, stoves, and ovens. Don’t like to cook? No worries, you can still get a campus meal plan if desired.

Our communities offer students and their parents piece of mind. Unlike most apartments in Edinboro, we have regular on-site management and maintenance staff, ready to assist however possible. In addition, 24-hour emergency maintenance is available, should you or your student have a concern.

Students pick and contract with the roommate(s) of their choice or choose to live in private accommodations. No forced roommates here, you can choose who to live with!

The typical lease term coincides with the University’s academic calendar. Residents pay rent prior to the beginning of each semester. A security deposit is due at the time of lease execution. If choosing a shared apartment option, the student can contract without a parent guarantee as long as payment is made prior to the move in date.

Moving off-campus does not affect your financial aid. In most cases, you may see an even larger refund. The most cost-effective way to pay is on time prior to the start of each semester. If special arrangements are made for alternative payments, then parent guarantees are generally required, and additional fees are charged. We accept checks, money orders and cashier’s checks in our office made payable to the community name. As an alternative payment option, we also accept credit card, debit cards and ACH payments online at www.BoroStudentApartments.com for your convenience.

A guarantor is only required when you or your student is on a special payment plan or for single renters in a one-bedroom apartment. The guarantor will need to sign the guarantor agreement.
